Privacy
Your life is yours. Your information is not our product.
Plain language, because this is a hard moment and you shouldn't have to decode a policy.

The short version
We store what you tell DaVinci so it can remember your situation and be useful tomorrow. We don't sell it, we don't share it with advertisers, and Dear DaVinci does not use your conversations to train its own AI models.
You can delete all of it from your Dear DaVinci account whenever you want. Some information processed by third-party infrastructure may remain under those providers' own retention policies.
What we store
Your email address, so we can confirm your purchase and let you sign back in.
What you write or dictate to DaVinci: your messages, the facts DaVinci draws out of them, the people you mention, your Threads, notes, follow-ups and what's been handled.
Payment confirmation details from our payment processor: the amount, the currency, and a reference. We never see or store your card number.
Why we store it
Because a companion with no memory is useless in a week. DaVinci needs to hold your situation so you don't have to repeat it, so Today can show what matters now, and so nothing quietly falls off the list.
That's the only reason it's stored.
What we don't do with it
We don't sell your information.
We don't share it with advertisers or use it for advertising.
Dear DaVinci does not use your conversations to train or improve its own AI models.
Dear DaVinci staff do not routinely review your conversations. Your information is processed by third-party AI infrastructure used to provide the service, subject to those providers' applicable data-handling terms.
Who processes it
To answer you, we send the relevant parts of your situation — not your whole history — to our AI provider, which runs the model that generates DaVinci's reply. We don't send your email address or payment details with it.
We also use providers to host the site and database, take payment, and send email. They process data on our behalf under their own terms. We don't give them permission to use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
For as long as you keep your account. There is no automatic expiry, because the point is that it's still there when you come back.
Deleting your account removes the information stored by Dear DaVinci. Some information processed or temporarily retained by third-party infrastructure may remain for the period required under those providers' own retention policies.
Deleting everything
From your account page you can delete your account. That removes the conversations, facts, people, Threads, notes, follow-ups and saved HQ content stored by Dear DaVinci, along with your sign-in. It is not recoverable.
Purchase records are kept in anonymised form, with your account detached, because they are financial records.
You can also write to hello@deardavinci.com and we'll do it for you.
Dictation
We don't store audio recordings of your voice.
Dictation runs in your own browser. Depending on your device and browser, your browser vendor (for example Apple or Google) may process that audio on their servers under their own privacy terms. Only the resulting text reaches us, and only if you save it.
Security
Your account data is scoped to you and enforced at the database level, not just in the app. No other customer can read it. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, so there's no password to leak. Audio and companion files are served through short-lived private links.
No system is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise.
A note on AI
DaVinci is an interactive AI. The AI Disclosure explains what it can and can't do.
